INDEPENDENCE DAY COMMITTEE APPOINTMENT

SUMMARY
The Community and Human Services Commission oversees the Independence Day Committee (IDC). This Committee is comprised of nine members. Currently, there are five members on the IDC.
The Community and Human Services Commission Ad Hoc Selection Committee reviewed applications and conducted interviews on Monday, January 22. The Ad Hoc Selection Committee made its selection and is recommending the following candidate below for appointment. The Human Services Department is still accepting applications for the Independence Day Committee.
RECOMMENDATION
Recommended Action
The Ad Hoc Selection Committee recommends that the Community and Human Services Commission appoint Krista Carson Elhai to the Independence Day Committee to serve a term to expire on August 31, 2028.

The staff cost to prepare this report is estimated at $455, which is included in the operating budget of the Human Services Department.
