Title

REVISIONS TO THE INDEPENDENCE DAY COMMITTEE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

Body

SUMMARY

On April 27, 2021, the Independence Day Committee membership was reduced from ten to nine in the Policies and Procedures by the removal of the Community and Human Services liaison as a voting member. At the time this change took effect, there were eleven Committee Members who were able to remain until they completed their terms. Since 2021, the Independence Day Committee has had nine resignations and four appointments for a current total of six members. The Recreation and Human Services Department received one more application and is awaiting an interview with the ad hoc committee.

Recruitment materials have been out since August 2022, and the Independence Day Committee has not hit the total of nine members required by the Policies and Procedures, making it difficult to meet quorum.
