SUMMARY
On March 12, 2024, the City Council adopted new revisions to the City of Claremont Elected and Appointed Officials’ Handbook. This Handbook outlines policies, norms, and expectations for the City Council, Commissions, and Committees. One of the fundamental changes in the Handbook includes the removal of the eight-year term limit for Commissioners and Committee Members. Due to this change, the Policies and Procedures for the Committee on Aging, Committee on Human Relations, and Independence Day Committee have been revised to reflect the removal of term limits. Additional, non-substantive changes have been made in all Policies and Procedures.
