Title

APPOINTMENT OF A MAYOR AND VICE MAYOR FOR THE UPCOMING YEAR

Body

SUMMARY

The City Council has established one-year terms of office for Mayor and Vice Mayor of the City. On December 10, 2024, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2024-62, appointing Corey Calaycay as Mayor, and Jennifer Stark as Vice Mayor. Reorganization is now necessary as these terms are expiring.

The reorganization process calls for the City Clerk to conduct the proceedings to hear nominations and call the vote for the office of Mayor. The newly appointed Mayor will then conduct the proceedings to hear nominations and call the vote for the office of Vice Mayor. Finally, the City Council will adopt a resolution reciting the appointments for the upcoming year.
