APPOINTMENT OF A MEMBER TO THE COMMUNITY AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION
Body
SUMMARY
The Community and Human Services Commission improves and enhances the quality of life in Claremont through its oversight responsibility for: (1) the City’s provision of a variety of innovative events, leisure activities and social services to meet existing and emerging needs; and (2) the City’s general appearance and the condition of the City’s infrastructure. This oversight responsibility includes the maintenance of parklands, cemetery grounds, streets and streetlights, sidewalks, public rights-of-way landscaping, the Urban Forest, recycling, graffiti removal, and water quality.
A vacancy on the Commission currently exists, created by the resignation of Chris Naticchia. The 2023 City Council Ad Hoc Selection Committee, comprised of Councilmember Jed Leano and Councilmember Ed Reece, recommends that the City Council appoint Russ Binder to fill the vacancy on the Community and Human Services Commission.
