SUMMARY

 

The City Council traditionally cancels the second regular meeting in December for the holiday season. This year, the date for the second City Council meeting falls on December 24, 2024.

 

If the City Council cancels the December 24 meeting, the next regular meeting of the Claremont City Council will be held on January 14, 2025.

 

RECOMMENDATION

 

Recommended Action

Staff recommends the City Council cancel the regular City Council meeting of December 24, 2024.

In addition to the recommendation, there are the following alternatives:

 

A.                     Do not cancel the December 24, 2024 regular City Council meeting.

B.                     Reschedule the December 24, 2024 regular City Council meeting.

 

FINANCIAL REVIEW

 

The staff cost to prepare this report is estimated at $567. This cost is in staff time and is included in the operating budget of the Administrative Services Department.

Staff has evaluated the agenda item in relationship to the City’s strategic and visioning documents and finds it does not relate to any of these documents.
